BATHING BEAUTIES: FIRST FOUR 21st CENTURY BEACH HUTS INSTALLED

'I am delighted that the first four bold new Bathing Beauties artist and architect designed beach huts are now permanently installed on the Lincolshire coast, UK.  Over a scorching weekend (that's true!) in late September 2007, they proudly marked the launch of the Festival of Bathing Beauties, the UKs only Beach Hut Festival and the start of the linear gallery of new seaside architecture.  This first festival featured local hut owners competitions, attracted thousands of visitors and the local news frontpage headlined with 'Huts Festival Wows World'.  The Bathing Beauties project got off to a phenomenal start in 2007 with the long-term intention of attracting national and international visitors to this superb but partly forgotten 10 mile stretch of the Great British coastline for many years to come.  Thankyou to everyone who visited and who took part in 2007 and I look forward to updaing you with news for Summer 2008 soon.'

Michael Trainor, Lead Artist, Bathing Beauties.
